Supported Browsers & Data
Which browsers and data categories are supported on each operating system.
HackBrowserData supports the Chromium family, Firefox, and Safari. Coverage varies by data category and operating system.
Per-browser guides: Chrome · Microsoft Edge · Yandex · Firefox · Safari — each covers the exact commands, storage paths, and encryption specifics for that browser.
Data categories by engine
| Category | Chromium | Firefox | Safari |
|---|---|---|---|
| Password | |||
| Cookie | |||
| Bookmark | |||
| History | |||
| Download | |||
| Credit Card | |||
| Extension | |||

| Session Storage |
HackBrowserData currently extracts Credit Card and Session Storage only from Chromium-based browsers. A dash means the category is not extracted by this tool; it does not claim the browser itself lacks that feature.

Platform notes
- Windows — Chrome 127+
v20cookies (Chrome, Chrome Beta, Edge, Brave, CocCoc) need the amd64 App-Bound Encryption build . - macOS — selected Chromium browsers and Safari require the current login password for Keychain access; Safari also needs Full Disk Access . Keychain-backed password decryption may fail on macOS 26.4 or later.
- Linux —
v10needs no keyring,v11needs an accessible D-Bus Secret Service, and Flatpakv12is not implemented.
Yandex uses additional password and credit-card formats that HackBrowserData supports. Saved-password records protected by Yandex Master Password are skipped; other requested categories can still export.
- Chrome— Decrypt and export Google Chrome passwords, cookies, history, bookmarks, and credit cards on Windows, macOS, and Linux — including Chrome 127+ App-Bound Encryption (v20) cookies.
- Edge— Decrypt and export Microsoft Edge passwords, cookies, history, bookmarks, and credit cards on Windows, macOS, and Linux — including Edge's Chromium 127+ App-Bound Encryption (v20) cookies.
- Yandex— Decrypt and export Yandex Browser data on Windows and macOS, including its custom password and credit-card formats.
- Firefox— Decrypt and export Firefox passwords, cookies, history, and bookmarks on Windows, macOS, and Linux — what's supported and the Primary Password caveat.
- Safari— Export Safari passwords, cookies, history, and bookmarks on macOS — the Full Disk Access requirement and Keychain-backed passwords.
